Description

The NWF Pride sponsorship will be awarded to an LGBTQ+ Athlete. This sponsorship is dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ athletes in their pursuit of excellence in softball. This scholarship aims to alleviate financial burdens associated with equipment, training, and team dues, empowering athletes to focus on their development and performance. By fostering inclusivity and diversity within the softball community, The Natasha Watley Foundation strives to create an environment where all athletes can thrive.

In order to be awarded, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria as described below for the 4 Points of the Diamond™ NWF Pride Sponsorship: 

1. Applicants must identify as a member of the LGBTQ community.
2. Applicant must actively participate in softball.
3. Open to athletes aged 14-22.
4. Demonstrated financial need for support in covering costs related to equipment, training, and team dues.
5. Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
6. Engagement in community service or activities that promote diversity and inclusion.
7. One letter of recommendation from a coach, mentor, or teacher who can attest to the applicant’s dedication and potential in softball.
